Happy Birthday Dylan Sutherlin!

DylanWithDogOn Sunday March 3, Dylan will turn twenty-one years old while serving a five-year sentence for driving a car containing antifascists and anarchists who were involved in an altercation with white supremacists in the suburbs of Chicago. As friends and comrades of Dylan, we’re constantly aware of the sacrifice that he and the rest of the Tinley Park Five are making, but the the thought of Dylan missing his twenty-first is a particularly bitter pill to swallow.

We do want to make sure that Dylan has as good of a day as is possible. In order that he should hopefully receive it by his birthday, letters and other packages should be sent as soon as possible. PLEASE! If you’ve got an extra fifteen minutes just send Dylan a short letter to wish him a happy birthday! It’ll mean a lot to him.

As usual, we’re desperately trying to keep up with the commissary needs of all the Tinley Park Five. To make sure Dylan can grab some snacks for his birthday please consider contributing via WePay.

Pack the Courtroom Jan 4 11am

The Tinley Park Five were in court today to respond to the offer reached in the 402 conference. A continuance was issued today and the court will proceed with a previous motion to suppress the arrests of May 19, 2012. This motion will be heard on Jan 4, 2013 at 11 am at Bridgeview Courthouse. Our comrades are requesting that supporters and sympathizers try to make it to this court date if they can, so the court can see the defendants are supported by the community it claims our friends are a threat to.

Chicago Anarchist Black Cross will be posting updates via this facebook group.

Thanks for doing your best to make it.

Happy Birthday Alex Stuck!

On December 19, 2012 Alex Stuck will turn twenty-three years old. While we’re all still hoping that a plea agreement can be reached between now and then, the bitter reality is that Alex may be spending his birthday in the Cook County Jail. A conference is scheduled for Dec 7 which will determine whether a plea deal can be reached or whether the case will proceed to trial. As friends and comrades of Alex, never does a day go by that we don’t think about the dedication Alex displays in the struggle against fascist terrorism in our communities.

We do want to make sure that Alex has as good of a day as is possible. In order that he should hopefully receive it by his birthday, letters and other packages should be sent as soon as possible. PLEASE! If you’ve got an extra fifteen minutes just send Alex a short letter to wish him a happy birthday! It’ll mean a lot to him.

To put a couple extra dollars directly on his commissary fund use Moneygram Bill Pay, which can be found at most drug and grocery stores. Use the code #1750 for Cook County Department of Corrections and send the money to inmate code:

Alex will receive the money instantly and maybe this way he can have a birthday feast of tuna fish and ramen noodles! You can also continue to get money to Alex and the rest of the Tinley Park Five via WePay.

Jeffrey Stuart Burns (aka Thomas Stuart) from Wood River, IL would have you believe he's a stand-up guy. He's a devout Roman Catholic with nearly 2000 posts on forums.Catholic.com. He loves dogs, especially pits and shepherds. He works in private security. He listens to Christian music. He loves the outdoors. His favorite books are Sherlock Holmes, The Seven Habits of Highly Successful People, and just near anything Ayn Rand ever wrote.

Looks like the kids over at HARM are looking into the diners who claim they were attacked at the Ashford House. This guy is seriously creepy!

Happy Birthday Cody Lee Sutherlin!

On December 2, 2012 Cody Lee Sutherlin will turn twenty-four years old. While we’re all hoping that a plea agreement can be reached between now and then, the bitter reality is that Cody may be spending his birthday in the Cook County Jail. As friends of Cody we will miss the chance to relax, enjoy a beer, and reflect upon years past. Though we think of the sacrifice he’s making everyday, the thought of spending birthdays in jail is particularly painful. That said, the last thing Cody would ever want would be people moping around on his birthday.

We do want to make sure that Cody has as good of a day as is possible. In order that he should hopefully receive it by his birthday, letters and other packages should be sent as soon as possible. PLEASE! If you’ve got an extra fifteen minutes just send Cody a short letter to wish him a happy birthday! It’ll mean a lot to him.

Tinley Park Five doing great, humbled by international support they are receiving

Each and every member of the Tinley Park are in great spirits. They are getting along well with the other inmates at Cook County Jail. Their two biggest concerns at this time are the safety of their family and friends who are still receiving relentless threats of violence from the white supremacist community and the boredom and anxiety that comes along with being imprisoned, especially not knowing how long they have til they will be released. Their support network is capably handling security concerns. The Tinley Park Five support network is also doing everything they can to help with with the monotony of prison life, but you can also help by writing letters, visiting, or providing financial support. The various acts of solidarity being shown by the antifascist, anarchist, and activist communities across the world are the fuel that keeps us all going through these stressful times. Thank you to everyone who has given a few dollars, written a letter, retweeted a link, shared a news story, sent a book or zine, dedicated an action to or visited them, assisted with security, and have otherwise aided in this campaign to free the Tinley Park Five. It’s impossible to convey how much this means to both us and them.
